Discover your worth in christ
December 24, 2024
Snow on Christmas Eve is one of the simpler joys of the holiday.
As a faith-based Life and Wellness Coach I am always looking at the beauty of God’s design to help women discover their worth in Jesus Christ.
He placed his divine worth in us which makes us even more valuable than the most precious diamond. You don’t have to look far to see His worthiness in creation and that includes you, me, and yes – snowflakes are a good reminder of this as well.
Snowflakes are a beautiful reminder of the divine perfection of God’s creation.
Have you ever looked up close to a high definition photo of a snowflake? Perfectly imperfect, no two snowflakes are exactly alike. From the inside out a snowflake is unique in structure, design, and it’s molecular composition.
Did you know snowflakes form around a tiny particle of dust in the atmosphere? In terms of creation, man was also formed from dust, Genesis 2:7-9 says, “Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”
Psalm 139 says we are also unique, no two people can ever be exactly alike, we were “fearfully & wonderfully” made.
Whether or not you get to experience the fresh fallen snow today take a moment of gratitude for our savior whose sacrifice made us white as snow and revere the divine perfection with which you were created. For the scripture in Isaiah 1:18 says, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”
Did you get snow over the holiday? We got about an inch and a half and it hasn’t melted yet!
Even though snowflakes are many, each one has a design and composition all it’s own – unable to ever be replicated (science tried). As a snowflake falls from the atmosphere, it continues to grow and transform in design until it finally reaches the surface of the earth. Consider our journey here on earth as a human.
I accept that I have a finite time on earth, but I also know that I am capable of transforming as I go – never done growing or changing until I reach my destination.
Our eternity in heaven is infinite just as the snowflakes that make up a blanket of fresh snow. Lord, we “praise you because [we] are fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” – AMEN.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
